The 2009 New Year Party of the Western Japan Office was successfully held in Osaka with 120 participants, with HE Ambassador Mr. Johan Maricou, Mr. Noriyuki Inoue, Vice President & President of the Western Japan Chapter, Mr. Junichi Nakamura, Vice President & Former Ambassador to Belgium, and some 20 Belgian members in Kansai district. For the closer ties between the east and west, the secretariat staff from the headquarters also joined. The party started with Mr. Inoue's welcome speech, followed by Ambassador Mr. Maricou's greeting message. After the toast by Mr. Nakamura, participants enjoyed a pleasant New Year evening. The variety of prizes were contributed to the customary gLucky Draw" event from 30 corporate member organizations including Daikin Industries and Pioneer Corporation that made the party the most exciting.
